Just days after launching an interactive mobile lottery service for the island nation of Curacao, leading mobile and interactive gaming solutions provider Managed Gaming Solutions (MGS) has premiered a similar facility for Venezuela.
London-based MGS revealed that the new service was launched in partnership with Venezuelan firm Grupo MVTV CA, a private lottery operator trading under the name Teleloteria SC.
Grupo MVTV CA is utilising MGS as its exclusive systems and services provider in Venezuela while marketing for the new service is being spread across all local media with weeekly live televised lottery draws to follow.
“We are very pleased to announce that our new lottery product in Venezuela had a smooth launch and look forward to proving it as a yet another success story for MGS in Latin America,” said Tero Turunen, Executive Chairman for MGS.
“Venezuela is a very promising market that offers huge opportunities for our products but, at the same time, the gaming industry also faces some challenges due to unlicensed lottery operators organising illegal games.
“Therefore, it is very important, that MGS and Grupo MVTV have been granted a license for mobile lottery games by the Government. The most convincing argument for granting the license has been our fully auditable lottery operations where every single lottery ticket sale can be easily audited by the Government in order to ensure that the lotteries are played according the Government’s regulations.
“Based on this promising start, we plan to launch further games together with Grupo MVTV in Venezuela.”
MGS revealed that over 75 percent of the population of Venezuela, which numbers almost 30 million, participate in traditional lottery games on a regular basis. In addition, the South American nation has in excess of 27 million mobile users, providing significant opportunities for operating a mobile lottery service.
